John has in excess of 50 years professional experience and on this occasion will have superb backing from some of Melbourne's finest players! Influenced by Benny Goodman, Zoot Simms, Stan Gets, Art Pepper, and Bud Shank, he presents a swing "straight ahead" style of playing.

Vibraphone

Chris is acknowledged as one of Australia's leading vibraphone players. If you enjoyed Lionel Hampton, then there is a treat in store for you when you have the pleasure of hearing him play. Chris is also a fine drummer.

Neil is a well known Melbourne pianist who has performed all over the country with many Jazz bands. An excellent musician with unique style Neil is well regarded by many musicians and is well known as a member of island Jazz.

Drums

Guitar - Andrew studied under jazz guitarist Bruce Clarke for 3 years in the early 1980's. He has played in many jazz and blues bands over the past 25 years, at venues such as Jazz After Dark at the Melbourne Arts Centre, The Royal Derby Hotel, corporate and private functions, and regularly performs at the jazz festivals. His influences include guitarists Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Jim Hall, Ed Bickert, Pat Metheny. Andrew's playing style is both warm-sounding and relaxed.

If you enjoy the music of the swing era in particular the music of the Benny Goodman quintet and sextet then this is a must for you. The group appears regularly at the Merimbula, Halls Gap and Inverloch festivals and receives outstanding reviews.
